Our passion for fencing inspired us to found the Cyranova akademie project. In 2023 we launched a platform for training fencers, sharing fencing experience and individual coaching. Book a fencing course, whether you're a beginner who wants to get started, or an advanced competitor.
The driving force behind the project is Richard Pokorný, a former national team fencer and now sport fencing coach. Anna Pokorná, Matyáš Pavlík, Jan Kotala and Tomáš Musil are our other qualified coaches.
Fencing is a joy for us, and it fulfills us to be able to share these great experiences with others. We believe our lessons will enrich and entertain you.
Cyranova akademie builds on experience from the world of sport fencing and knowledge of sports training. We are the only commercial service of our kind in the Czech Republic.

We offer a wide range of seminars and private épée fencing lessons. We place great emphasis on an individual approach. For larger groups we organize team building events.

Former national team fencer, holder of an "A" level coaching license from FTVS. Co-founder of the University Fencing League, teaches a semester-long fencing course at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. Bronze at the European Team Championships, team victory at the Grand Prix in Vancouver.
After working at the secretariat of the Czech Fencing Association and the VICTORIA VSC sports center, now works in IT. In 2023, alongside her modern pentathlon coaching license, she added the top-level "A" coaching license from FTVS. Trains with Richard at VSK Humanita.
Senior national team member of the Czech Republic in épée, medalist at the Czech Championships, competitor at World Cup events. Trains regularly at an Italian fencing club in Turin. Holds a "C" level coaching license and focuses on coaching youth.
Czech national team member and World Cup competitor in épée, who started out at the Teplice fencing club. His kind and empathetic approach makes him a great instructor for beginners. As an active fencer, he can also offer real sparring lessons.
Former junior national team member who competed at the World and European Championships. Still an active fencer, a Sokol member at heart and a chemistry student. A lover of the French school of fencing who is studying the Italian school in Milan.

The From Zero to Hero course with Richard was exactly what you need if you're looking for an introduction to sport fencing but only thought of it as an adult. The emphasis is on learning things not quickly, but correctly.
